Since digital cameras came to be in every household, things have changed. Not many people make B&W photos anymore, a shame really because you can create such a different atmosphere with it.

These are just original Black & White images, most of them made with a Nikon or Rollei camera with 35mm film. That is to say, up to the 21st century, after then it´s all digital camera work with different makes of cameras.

The images have not been manipulated much. Just got rid of noise, scratches and dust. Only did some highlighting- and shadow adjustment and/or cropping.

My focus has never been on perfectly sharp photos. It´s the image itself that has my interest. Not that I don´t like my photos to be sharp but because most have been made “on the go”, almost never having time to adjust the camera perfectly.

With the modern (half) automatic digital cameras sharpness of course has increased significantly. Everybody with a digital camera can nowadays make perfectly sharp photos

Although you can see some posing, lot´s of people possibly never have seen me taking a photo of them I suppose.

Anyway, just my personal B&W view of a few parts of the world, more will be added I hope in due time.
